At First Glance:
Zahn is a walking, talking dichotomy. Incredibly tall, very broad, and packed thick with muscle, he is the embodiment of strength for his race. He often stands straight in posture with his shoulders held back, his physique imposing, and he is rarely, if ever, seen hunched forward. Belying his appearance, his expression and voice conveys a much deeper acumen: deep blue eyes full of intellect and concentration with a with speech that is rich with wit and extensive in vocaulary.His fur color matches the figurative contrast in being either the whitest of white or the blackest of black. A tiger's pattern of dark stripes drapes over his shoulders, wrists, ankles., and his black mane is cared for, clean, and styled.
Social and Skills:
Skills: An incredibly talented engineer, Zahn is capable of inventing, maintaining, and iterating on a plethora of magitechnical designs. While he hasn't picked up a weapon in a long time, he still has the muscle memory buried from his training years prior.
Social: Incisive and intelligent, Zahn is practiced in parlay and able in conversation. While he can be direct and sense of humor is dry and sarcastic, he's more than capable of listening and offering a thoughtful take when the moment calls for it.
Combat: He knows how to use firearms (including pistols and rifles), but has preferred not to for a long time. He's been picking up a blade again as well. He also has no qualms with preparing a specialized tool or gadget to a fight if he knows it will give him an advantage.

History
In Brief...
Son of a Bozjan engineer, but he was sent away at too young an age to remember anything about him.
Raised in a collective of nomads who worked to subvert the Garlean Empire and free those who were subjugated by it.
He learned how to build and develop magitek from his father's notes, which were left with him.
The nomads no longer exist due to betrayal from the inside.
Zahn was conscripted by the Garlean Empire and forced to build and maintain weapons of war, several of which were likely used or seen in places like the Bozjan Southern Front.
Since finding freedom, he's worked as a freelance engineer to keep food on the table and a roof over his head.
Zahn never knew his real parents. At first, his foster family didn't know what to do with him. The underground was no place to raise a child, or so his adoptive father insisted.Yet destiny seemed to disagree, as he was taken in by the unlikely couple and raised amongst the motley crew of Garlean Resistance Fighters. His foster parents were an odd duo themselves, though, so he fit right in. His father was a master bladesman, and he trained in a variety of weapons and martial styles. Contrasting that, his mother was a scholar and astrologean, favoring the pursuit of knowledge that was ingrained into her while growing up in Sharlayan.As a result, Zahn was raised to appreciate each of their lifestyles. Body and mind were brought up to be of equal importance to young Zahn. He learned martial combat and how to wield a weapon from his father, and he was taught history and legend from his mother. As he did, Zahn also got a taste of what his parents were up to while trapsing around Ilsabard. More than mercenaries, they'd spent years helping shepherd the oppressed of the Garlean Empire to safety beyond its borders.Zahn aspired to help in any way that he could, both in camp and out in the field.Eventually, the books he was left with as a child were given to him as well, and they served as the last puzzle piece in shaping Zahn's future. Schematics lined their many pages: drawings of magitechnical contraptions that had, for reasons unknown to Zahn, been kept hidden from the world by whoever had spirited him away. Zahn studied them with obsessive fervor. With enough practice, he made many of the designs his own, and continued the research written inside not only out of curiosity, but out of respect toward his lineage.That legacy and knowledge could not help him with what became to be both his and the group's undoing.Returning from a field mission, Zahn found the nomadic encampment decimated by the Garleans. Zahn was captured. The group was ripped apart. His parents were killed in front of him, and Zahn was drug away by the assailing force screaming in protest and mourning. He was forced to put his knowledge of magitek to use within the Garlean machine shops: building, designing and repairing weapons. He did this for years until an avenue of escape presented itself, and he fled to Eorzea, not daring or desiring to look back to Ilsabard and its painful memories.He had to find his footing with underground contracts at first. Magitek was hardly a burdgeoning enterprise outside of Garlemald, and his reputation as a conscript served to hold him back from finding trust amongst many artisans in the major city-states.With enough patience, he finally made a name for himself. Despite the turmoil of the past several years, Zahn still embodies the diversity that raised him. He's a Hrothgar who carries a wealth of knowledge both written and mental, a man who keeps in tip-top shape and practices his martial training, and a practicing engineer and craftsman. He now travels the world bringing practical magitek solutions to his customers, hiding from the shadow that he escaped over a decade ago, and trying to do what little good he can with what little power he has.

* Ilsabard Nomad: Zahn travelled Ilsabard while he was growing up and into adulthood, and he both undermined the Garlean Empire in the region and freed many from its borders.
